Lithographs, oleographs, and chromolithographs are all types of prints made using the lithographic process. Lithographs are created by drawing on a stone or metal plate with a greasy substance, producing detailed, hand-drawn images. Oleographs are a type of lithograph designed to imitate oil paintings, often with added texture and richness to resemble original artwork. Chromolithographs use multiple stones or plates to apply different colors in layers, resulting in vibrant, full-colour prints. These techniques were widely used in the 19th and early 20th centuries for art, advertising, and affordable home decor.
